EducationI achieved my Honors in Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business - it's the most prestigious undergraduate business program in Canada.
I was accepted into MBA programs at Duke, Michigan, NYU, and Dartmouth, but absolutely fell in love with the entrepreneurship program at Babson College, where I am currently pursuing my MBA.
ExperienceYou will not find many business/finance/GMAT tutors with more experience.
After serving as a teaching assistant for the first-year business course at Ivey, I went on to tutor over four hundred students over the next five years about finance, marketing, operations, organizational behaviour, accounting, and strategy.
Having marked exams in these subjects, I know what professors are looking for and how to help you best express yourself.
I achieved a GMAT score of 740, placing me in the 97th percentile - my specialty is Verbal, where I received a 99th percentile score.
I was also hired as a GMAT instructor for Kaplan, and have been through their extensive training program. If you need help studying for the GMAT, I can be of tremendous assistance.
Since I was admitted to a number of top-tier MBA programs, I'm also available to edit your admissions essays and work with you on crafting a profile as you apply to your dream school.
Even if you're not studying business, I also am a tremendous proofreader, and would be happy to edit your work and make suggestions for improvement - ESL students welcomed. Having studied French, Spanish, and Japanese at the university level, I understand the challenges with learning a new language!
I also have extensive entrepreneurial experience, having owned and operated seven franchised ice cream stores for five years.
I prefer to tutor at a coffee shop around the corner from my house (Parsons & Washington Street in Boston), or anything done at Babson College. Happy to travel (a bit!) to you otherwise!

He was extremely helpful in aiding me through my Financial Accounting and Reporting course. He is very knowledgeable and definitely made a difference towards my final grade.
Rob was extremely helpful in prepping me for the GMAT - very down to earth and lots of useful strategies for solving problems faster.
Rob was a good tutor for the quantitative section of the GMAT. He provided plenty of time saving tips and strategies. Depending on whether you learn best by remembering shortcuts or doing math more traditionally, his methods may be more or less helpful for you. His schedule was a bit inflexible due to a job at a start-up, however. Overall, a good tutor who helped improve my score!
Have worked with Rob for years, he's very detailed and great at explaining things so they make sense!
Rob is a great tutor. I contacted him for help on the GMAT and he helped me out a lot! He helped me focused more on the strategy of approaching a GMAT question rather than just telling me the answer and moving on. I'd definitely recommend him for anyone looking to improve either their quant or verbal score.
Goods: He responded very quickly to my e-mail. Negatives: He thought I canceled our appointment but didn't call/text/e-mail me to confirm his beliefs so I sat around waiting for him to show up.
Rob is very punctual and always responds quickly to my emails. He's tutoring me for the GMAT and knowing english is my second language/I don't have a strong math background, Rob knows how to explains things to me in a simple and fun way. Great interpersonal skills and gives great advice about how to understand and answer the questions. I've taking about 4 hours with him and I'm already feeling more confident about the GMAT. He also provided references but one was enough for me. I could tell right from the start it was going to workout. I'll make sure to write a review after I take the test and share the progress I made but seriously try him out, he's awesome.
