HobbiesI take my academics seriously, but not so seriously that they prevent me from having considerable outlets, be they music, recreational sports (my big one is soccer, though I also enjoy tennis, ping pong, biking, frisbee, and whatever else I'm invited to try), or just hanging out with friends and family.
In teaching, I am firm in my commitment to concepts and understanding rather than the memorization of facts and figures. As such, I only tutor subjects of which I myself have a very thorough understanding, and I will do everything within my ability to impart that same understanding on my tutees.
Lastly, if there is ever a topic with which I am unfamiliar, I will of course give it my best shot but am never afraid to point a tutee to a better source and admit my own weaknesses. The success of my tutees is my number one priority!

Great Tutor! Alexey helped my son with AP Calculus. My son was struggling with the course work and had missed a lot of class time due to an injury. Alexey was able to bridge the gap. My son said he felt like he learned more after one hour and a half tutoring session with Alexey than he had all year in class. Alexey was patient and understood the material for the AP Calculus course. I would recommend him to anyone. Along with knowing the material inside an out, Alexey was always prompt and flexible. If the need for a tutor arises again we’ll definitely use Alexey and will certainly refer him to others. My son and I highly recommend Alexey S.
