Education

PhD Applied Physics, Oxford University 2013 MS Optical Engineering, University of Rochester 2010 BS Chemical Engineering, University of Rochester 2008 Boston Latin School graduate, 1999

Experience

I am an adjunct professor in the Boston University Physics department and have been tutoring for over ten years. Within a short time I can typically help a student raise their grade by at least one letter. I was in the UK from 2009-2013 while completing my doctorate at Oxford University. During that time have seen my students win places at Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, Harvard and Stanford. Many moons ago when I took my SATs I received a 1600 (out of 1600 as it was those years ago). I love to teach and believe that any child can learn math and science with the right person. I do not take on very many students at a time as I like to offer my students personalized attention over the long term. I think it's best when a student becomes comfortable with their tutor and trusts that they are in good hands. If you would like any references please don't be afraid to ask!

Hobbies

I love science, cheesecake, and hiking. Probably in that order. I also genuinely love to teach and have yet to meet a student I couldn't relate with!
