I attend Boston University, where I am a junior. My major is Finance, and Investments is my area of concentration. I started tutoring four years ago, and I enjoy it very much. Subjects that I tutor include Algebra 1 - 4, Pre-Calculus, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Trig, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, American History, English, and Social Studies. My philosophy toward tutoring is that you must create an environment that is fully focused on the student. The tutor and student relationship should be team-based, where both share the goal of helping the student succeed. One of the most incredible experiences for me as a tutor is that moment when a student "gets it." After they have struggled to grasp the content, and then seeing them when they do, is the best reward for a tutor. As a tutor, I see my purpose as being solely about helping my students succeed. In my spare time, I like to hike, play basketball, and go exploring. I live in Brookline, Massachusetts.
