Experience

Personal Statement: There is nothing more exhilarating than being able to watch the light bulbs go off in my students' heads as I watch the understanding of concepts previously unattainable become crystal clear through my tutoring work with them. I enjoy being able to work with all kinds of different students, and finding ways to explain core concepts in an easy-to-understand manner for each of my students. No two students are alike, so no two tutoring jobs are the same. I know that I can always meet the objectives for any tutoring job I take on. In fact, I will refuse jobs if I think I am unable to meet the needs of a student at the outset. You can read about my tutoring methodology and philosophy on my tutoring web site here: http://home.earthlink.net/~blankface/tutor/ You can see that I have undergone a background check as part of the tutoring profile I created here: http://www.sittercity.com/tutor/ma/brookline/1404789.html I also provided a lot of in depth discussion regarding my tutoring methodology and philosophy on another profile I created here: http://www.thumbtack.com/ma/brookline/math-tutors/holistic-individualized-tutoring Experience: While in middle school, grades 5 through 8, I was required to do research projects and prepare the teaching of material in after school courses for younger students. While in high school, I attended a computer camp for 2 summers, one of which I was a CIT and taught some coursework in computer programming.
