Education
I achieved my Honors in Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business - it's the most prestigious undergraduate business program in Canada. I was accepted into MBA programs at Duke, Michigan, NYU, and Dartmouth, but absolutely fell in love with the entrepreneurship program at Babson College, where I am currently pursuing my MBA.
Experience
You will not find many business/finance/GMAT tutors with more experience. After serving as a teaching assistant for the first-year business course at Ivey, I went on to tutor over four hundred students over the next five years about finance, marketing, operations, organizational behaviour, accounting, and strategy. Having marked exams in these subjects, I know what professors are looking for and how to help you best express yourself. I achieved a GMAT score of 740, placing me in the 97th percentile - my specialty is Verbal, where I received a 99th percentile score. I was also hired as a GMAT instructor for Kaplan, and have been through their extensive training program. If you need help studying for the GMAT, I can be of tremendous assistance. Since I was admitted to a number of top-tier MBA programs, I'm also available to edit your admissions essays and work with you on crafting a profile as you apply to your dream school. Even if you're not studying business, I also am a tremendous proofreader, and would be happy to edit your work and make suggestions for improvement - ESL students welcomed. Having studied French, Spanish, and Japanese at the university level, I understand the challenges with learning a new language! I also have extensive entrepreneurial experience, having owned and operated seven franchised ice cream stores for five years. I prefer to tutor at a coffee shop around the corner from my house (Parsons & Washington Street in Boston), or anything done at Babson College. Happy to travel (a bit!) to you otherwise!
