Experience
I'm a graduate student at Boston University in the journalism program. As such, I am a Teaching Assistant for the Communication 100 course. I work with college freshmen and sophomores on a daily basis, teaching them study skills, writing skills, and communication history and theory. I also worked as a journalism instructor for Boston University's Summer Challenge program. I ran an introductory journalism course for high school students from across the country, including all lectures, grading, lesson planning, and discussions involved with that class. I am most adept at teaching writing skills, but am also able to teach across a variety of subjects, including test preparation (which often includes writing and vocabulary, as well as basic math) and social sciences.
