Private tutor in Brookline, MA
Education
Gordon College - BA, French , Boston College - MA, French Language and Literature
Experience
I hold a bachelor's degree in French from Gordon College, and a master's degree in French Language and Literature from Boston College. I served as a tutor for students enrolled in Elementary and Intermediate French at a community college. At Gordon, I worked as a teaching assistant to my French professor, and at Boston College, I taught undergraduate Elementary French. Now, I am teaching college-level Elementary French in Boston as I work on my Ph.D. applications for next year. I truly love teaching the French language. I have a deep appreciation for the French language, culture, and history, and this helps me get my students excited about learning French! As a tutor, I can employ many different techniques that are tailored to each student's preferred learning style, including choral repetition, lectures, worksheets, activities, and even French games! In my sessions, participation is mandatory. Though I speak in French most of the time, I ensure each concept is mastered before moving forward. I love classroom teaching, but I also appreciate the one-on-one, in-depth interactions with my students during tutoring sessions. In my spare time, I love to watch classic movies, listen to music, hang out with my cats, read, and travel.
