Experience
I have a Bachelor of science from Boston U. in Human Physiology. And, I am still at B.U., working as a researcher in the area of congenital muscular dystrophy. My work is focused on a pre-clinical drug trial for a rare form of the disease. My tutoring experience, which spans about seven years, is working one-on-one with students in areas like Calculus, Biology, and Anatomy. I also tutor Physiology, Physics, and Chemistry. These are my favorite subjects because when they are mastered, they help a student not only know how the world works, but why it works the way it does. That is a huge leap forward in one's learning. I believe that science is what has enabled every civilization to progress, and advances in science will determine our future path. I love science, and I always enjoy teaching others about it. If natural science feels like a mystery to a student, I know how to solve it and make it fun and enjoyable. When I am not in the lab or tutoring, I play the blues, build computers, and SCUBA dive. I also bring science to my kitchen when I try new recipes.
