As a student at Colorado College, I have a front-row seat to student life. I've dealt with standardized testing and the application essays, and I have to balance classes with extracurricular activities and deadlines.All of this gives me direct insight into the goals and needs of the students I tutor. I know, for example, that my students will not benefit from being spoon-fed answers. It's far better for them to process the material on their own and raise questions as they go. That way, they invest their own efforts in the subject matter and form their own opinions about it. Using this method, I work with high school students on test preparation for the PSAT and SAT and tutor elementary and middle school students in Math and Reading. I am currently looking to expand my tutoring efforts, and can work with students on Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, English, and the SAT and PSAT. If I'm not tutoring or studying, I am most often engaged in sports like track or cross country. When I'm not running, I enjoy relaxing with music and a good book.
