More than 10 years of experience in violin lessons. My mother received master's degree in Piano Performance in Germany and she was a piano professor at top universities in Korea. I've taken lessons from her until I left home for college and I have also taught her students as a secondary piano teacher. I had perfect scores for both SAT I & II in math back in 2006. But because I majored in violin performance, I haven't taken any math class in past 9 years so teaching sAT math would not be possible. But at least it shows that I'm academically driven person! Passing my knowledge and experiences to students, and witnessing the progress motivates me and improves me as a performer and teacher as well. I've been professionally trained not only as a performer, but as a teacher as well. Northwestern University has a renown pedagogy program. I have taken classes with professionals of pedagogy for 2 years. It taught me how to approach beginners and children by teaching me different techniques that works for different groups of students, assigned a few students for me to apply what I've learned in class, and let me watch how other teachers teach their students. I also played cello, which I have never played before, just so I can understand how it feels like to be a beginner again because it is difficult for experienced players to remember how they begun when they were first introduced to play an instrument.

Hobbies
I love traveling, eating food from different countries, and learning others' cultures. My goal is to meet people from different backgrounds and have as many experiences as possible, because it allows me to broaden my mind and have different perspective of the world. I personally think that this is the best way to improve oneself and become a better person every day which will eventually lead to having a happier life.
