Dayton M.
Private tutor in Brookline, MA
Education
I have a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering (2016) and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences (2015) from the University of California, Berkeley. My GPA was a 3.8. I was a recipient of the Anselmo J. Macchi Engineering Scholarship and the Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering Fellowship.
Experience
I taught an upper division class at Berkeley in the Dept. of Environmental Engineering called Climate Change Mitigation, which focused on an engineering approach to reducing to the negative impacts of climate change. I did research on the effects of climate change on river temperature with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, which required extensive mathematical applications, numerical solutions to differential equations, and lots of coding in R and MATLAB. I love teaching, and I'd like to continue to teach even though I'm finished with school.

Hobbies
Although I'm currently working full-time for the Army Corps of Engineers in Concord, MA, in my spare time I like to play volleyball, tennis, and explore whatever city I'm in. I'm fairly well-traveled (US, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, England, France, Morocco), and plan to keep traveling.
